Liberti USA: Free to Live the Dream
Imagine having to give up on everything you have known, to leave your home, to leave your country in order to survive. You have to find a way to escape and even the journey that you travel on does not guarantee that you will live. If not you, you may lose family or friends who are also on their search for a better life. There are many families that are in the United States who are refugees and had to do just that. But once they arrive to America, the difficult journey does not end there. In many cases, these people do not speak the native language, so they must learn. They have to get a job, and support their family. Coming to America faces many challenges for refugees and that is where Liberti USA comes in to help. Liberti USA is a jewelry brand that focuses on giving back to help many refugee families in the United States. Each of their collections were formed with a different aspiration of refugees in mind. The necklace that I have states “Free to Live the Dream” which is what many people who come to the United States want to do. They want to be able to live their lives and fulfill their dreams whatever they may be, or maybe even to give their children the life that they never had.
The < 1% collection is a collection based off of the refugee population which makes up less than 1% of refugees who have escaped camps abroad. The coordinates collection contains an engravement of coordinates of refugee camps abroad. The Return to Love collection represents the ideals that Americans stand for. The freedom to breathe, live and love.
Liberti USA is so near to my heart because, with my parents being immigrants to this country, if it were not for the help and support from people who helped them out, I may not have been here today. We are so fortunate to live in this country where you can be free to live the dream and where you can strive and grow, but we need to support one another so that big things can happen in this country. That is why Liberti USA is one of my favorite brands! We already know I am all about fashion but when fashion is designed to help those in need, I think that is incredible to go the extra mile!
